VARIETY: ‘Truth & Treason,’ Sets Theatrical Release

WWII drama “Truth & Conviction,” unveiled by Angel last year as a four-part limited series, has become “Truth & Treason,” set to hit cinemas on Oct. 17, 2025. The news was announced today as part of Wednesday’s CinemaCon presentation by the “Sound of Freedom” distributor.

Based on a true story, “Truth & Treason” follows Helmuth Hübener, a 16-year-old boy who formed a resistance group with his friends Karl and Rudi after witnessing the arrest of his Jewish friends by Nazis. Their brave actions led them facing trial in Nazi Germany.

The film stars Rupert Evans, Ewan Horrocks, Ferdinand McKay, Daf Thomas, and Sean Mahon, and was directed by Matt Whitaker and written by Whitaker and Ethan Vincent.

“Truth & Treason” is executive produced by Russ Kendall, John Foss and Jon Erwin. Kaleidoscope Pictures produced the film.
